Meet your new coach

Welcome!
I am a college professor, a marriage & family therapist, an author, and men’s development coach. My career has been focused on dual passions: a passion for education, and a passion for men’s mental health. My educational career consists of classroom teaching, program coordination, and college administration that spans more than 30 years. My second passion for psychology and mental health has led to the publication of the award-winning book Joker to King, and to the building of mentor programs for young men.

In 2011, I earned my doctorate degree in educational leadership with a concentration in the pedagogical application of learning theory. In 2026, I earned a master’s degree in Marriage & Family Therapy with a specialization in trauma studies. I also hold a certification as a personal development coach (certified through Lumia Coaching in 2020), a certification for pre-marital counseling (certified through SYMBIS in 2024), and a certification as a Veteran-Ready Healthcare Provider (certified through PsychArmor in 2025).
